When you grind with a coarse-grit fibre discs you want a backing pad that's strong and resistant to heat. It also needs to be rigid to help you get the right amount of pressure on your workpiece. That's how we made the PRO Backing Pad for coarse-grit grinding.
We designed the PRO Backing Pad for grinding with coarse fibre discs of P50 grit or below. We made it from heat-resistant plastic reinforced with fibreglass and gave it a rigid structure to make sure it's strong and durable. The pad has an angled surface to help you get a good grip on your workpiece and grind with ease – time and again.

first use on wood for stripping and finding a fairly significant loss of grain on the outside of the disc but still it is a good product
