General description

Smartseal Tarmac/Asphalt Cold Lay Repair is specially formulated for easy application and effective results in repairing small holes or cracks in tarmac and asphalt surfaces. It is available in black or red and can be used directly from the container. After completing the repair, Tarmaseal repair coating can be applied immediately to enhance durability.

  • Installation

  • Ensure the area is clean and dry before application.
  • Apply the included 0.25 litre primer to the damaged area.
  • Use a rake, spade, or trowel to spread the cold lay repair, leaving it approximately 10mm higher than the damaged area for maximum compaction.
  • Compact the material using a heavy, flat object, wetting the tamper frequently to prevent sticking.
  • For deep pot-holes (greater than 30mm), apply in two stages: compact the first layer to 20mm and let it set for 24 hours before adding the second layer.
  • Allow the repair tarmac to harden fully before use.
  • Usage

  • Ideal for repairing paths and driveways.
