A lacquer spray can be used to prolong the polished effect and delay the development of the natural patina.

The 3D bodies are handcrafted from beaten copper sections and brazed, with visible brazing that does not detract from the overall appearance.

Cast brass fittings are used for the cardinal points (NSEW).

Steel is used for the rotation rods and standard bracket mount, coated with an exterior quality powder coat paint for extended life.

For extended life, it is suggested to give the mount a coat of Hammerite paint.

I ordered this for my parents and on arrival I was delighted it looked great and was exactly what I was looking for. However it had only been fitted for 8 months when it snapped and fell to the ground. really disappointing it. It is a wind vane so I assumed it would last outdoors for more than a few months.
