The Faithfull Countryman Bill Hook has a double edge blade with a well-balanced design. Suitable for cutting through rough grass, weeds and brush. This traditional edge tool is widely used in forestry, hedge laying, gardening, field and roadside maintenance. The tool is used in a chopping action to cut bushes, shrubbery and small branches primarily for cutting green wood (living wood; wood which hasn’t dried).
Came without a cutting edge which is pretty essential on a cutting tool. Had to invest a couple of hours with file (then grinder when I was getting nowhere with file) and finally whetstone to render this fit for purpose. Apart from this, it should give good service. I just think that cutting tools should be supplied fit for purpose.
