Faithfull RI45-ARGH Countryman Grass Hook for Efficient Lawn and Garden Maintenance

Really great for small areas of grass. I had some grass paths down the allotment to trim which had got too long for the mower. This was quiet, no petrol to spill, no batteries to charge, easy to move, and cut the grass well (after sharpening). Not so good if you have a lot to cut or are in a hurry because it takes longer than the alternatives. I think I will repair the mower for the regular cut, but I will use this again if the grass gets too long or is too wet for a normal mow.

Once assembled, it was very easy to use, although gripping the shiny wooden handle when wet is not ideal - suggest a non-slip surface - I will use a piece of an old bicycle inner tube over the handle for better grip. Cuts through substantial long grass and weeds very well.

I've only had chance to use it briefly. It does what it says on the tin. Easy enough to get the knack of using it, and more enjoyable to use than the strimmer it will replace. Apparently it's important to keep any scythe sharp. It worked fine as delivered.
