Weed hooks

The sickle, much like the scythe or the hand mower, remains today the most widely used hand tool by cultivators for harvesting plants, particularly for cutting grass and fodder. It consists of a curved metal blade in the shape of a semi-circle which can be serrated or not. For those who prefer manual tools over mechanical machines to maintain your garden, choose a sickle to cut grass or grains precisely.

The sickle is one of the traditional tools for cleaning small bushy or grassy areas of your garden. This tool, with or without teeth, is known to be very effective for gathering flowers by the handful, cutting in one go the stems of plants such as beans and potatoes, and trimming aromatic plants. The sickle consists of two distinct parts, namely the blade and the handle. Renowned brands like Revex or Leborgne offer sickles with curved blades and handles made of maple or ash wood to prevent the harvester from injuring their hand. Available in different sizes, the blades of the sickles can be reinforced by an outer rib.
