The hinges remain lose!! Bad quality

I have spent ages looked specifically for a wooden toilet seat with solid hinges and I was very disapointed to discover when the product arrived, that the hinges are 'brass effect' according to the box not actual brass. The reason I want brass is because I am fed up with replacing chrome ones every six months. It's also a little too small for my toilet which seems to be longer than the average 'universal toilet'. It has become wobbly already so I will need to refix it on this weekend. On the plus side, its solid, very nice to sit on, looks lovely and I really liked the tool which came with it.

I'm very pleased with the toilet seat, it's very early days but I hope it lasts at the moment it looks good and was easy to fit .

Although it states the seat is solid wood, be aware that it is not solid pine wood, it is wood with an antique pine effect finish. Also the hinges are coated brass finish, not solid brass, and there were some imperfections visible. Overall, though, the quality is good - it is a good match with other antique pine fittings we have in the toilet - I was pleased with the price we paid, would not liked to have paid more, though!
