This Diesel Injector Flow Meter Diagnostic Cylinder Fuel Line Test Kit is designed for testing the fuel flow of common rail diesel injectors. It includes a variety of adapters and measuring cups to facilitate accurate diagnostics of injector performance.

Installation

Remove the return line clip from the injector.

Gently pull the return line, including the plastic adapter, from the injector.

Select the appropriate adapter; the pre-assembled adapters on the hose are suitable for Bosch injectors.

Mount the hook of the aluminum measuring cup holder on the engine hood and connect the tubes or measuring cylinder to the injectors, ensuring the original clip is mounted to prevent it from falling off.

Usage

To obtain accurate results, connect a measuring cylinder or measuring cup to each injector; for a 6-cylinder engine, connect 6 measuring cylinders or cups.

Start the engine and let it idle.

Monitor the graduated cylinder or measuring cup; they should fill with fuel from the common rail system as the engine runs.

Stop the engine if a significant difference in fuel quantity is observed or if the maximum quantity is reached.

The difference in fuel quantity between the cylinders indicates the condition of the injectors; a significantly higher quantity in one cylinder suggests a defective injector.

If only a small difference is noted, further diagnosis may be required according to the manufacturer's instructions.
