Some people consider vibration collars safer, but this is not true. Extensive tests have shown that a vibration collar takes 5 to 10 times longer to achieve the desired results in dog training than an electric collar. The electric shock takes only 0.1 to 0.5 seconds for the dog to recognize its misbehavior, while vibration can take up to 10 seconds for the dog to feel uncomfortable. Electric collars often achieve training goals after 2 to 5 days, while the same process with vibration collars can sometimes take up to 21 days.
