I bought this as a first drill for my 9 year old grandson, as I think it will be easier to manage than a conventional one initially. He has not received it yet so I can’t comment on whether my judgement is right, but I’m hopeful. Hence 4 stars rather than 5.
So pleased with mine I bought three more. Now, my son, daughter and my daughter's partner each has one. It has to be a big job before the electric drill comes out to play!.
This hand powered drill is ideal for occasional home and gargen use. Lack of electric motor or battery makes it light weight. The handle is mounted wrong way round for transport and storage so needs to be remounted before use. The mechanism is concealed inside the plastic body, so there are no exposed gears to trap fingers. Time is required to establish durability.
