Product information

Description

Dryrod Damp-Proofing Rods are high-performance rising damp treatments designed for maximum reliability and ease of installation. Each patented 12 mm diameter rod carries a powerful water-repellent that diffuses deep into masonry to form a continuous damp-proof course. Once installed, the active material cures within the wall to block rising moisture and gradually dry out the structure. Dryrod offers a no-spill, no-mess alternative to traditional liquid methods. The rods are inserted directly into pre-drilled 12 mm diameter holes along a continuous horizontal mortar joint. This ensures uniform delivery of the active ingredient, removing the guesswork and variability of pumped systems. No specialist equipment is required beyond a standard SDS drill and optional Dryrod Cutting and Hole-Clearing Tools. Suitable for both old and new masonry substrates, Dryrod is effective even in cold conditions and remains stable in both alkaline and neutral mortars. Installation can be carried out internally or externally, with rod lengths matched to wall thickness; 90 mm for 4½ inch walls and 180 mm for 9 inch walls. Coverage for 9 inch wall: 10 rods - 1.2 m coverage. 50 rods - 6 m coverage. 250 rods - 30 m coverage. Dryrod Damp-Proofing Rods are BBA approved and manufactured in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Once installed, a typical wall requires 1 month to cure. Replastering with breathable renovation plasters such as the Dryzone System range is recommended to support moisture evaporation and prevent salt damage. Dryrod is a proven rising damp solution with a track record of consistent, long-term performance.
