Stormdry Repointing Additive No.1 is a high-performance waterproofing admixture formulated to enhance the durability of repointing mortars. Designed for use with both cement-based and lime-based mixes, it reduces liquid water absorption while maintaining breathability. The additive is diluted with clean tap water and used as a gauging solution for sand:cement or sand:lime repointing mixtures
This specialist admixture improves moisture resistance without compromising workability or adhesion. It is ideal for use on traditional and modern masonry substrates and supports compatibility with mixes ranging from NHL 5 hydraulic lime to standard masonry cement. Its performance is validated by test data showing significant reduction in water uptake once cured.
Each 500 ml bottle provides enough gauging solution for repointing approximately 5 square metres of masonry. It is particularly useful for conservation work where mortar compatibility, breathability and moisture protection are essential.
