Being looking for a device to unblock my blocked pipes, I first tried a manual ferret but without success I quickly encountered blockages in the corners of the pipes. I then turned to this electric ferret from Einhell with a compatible battery. The machine is very robust, heavy and easy to use. We immediately see that the materials used are qualitative and durable. In terms of use there are several modes which allow you to unwind, wind up, change the direction of rotation or simply turn without movement. It has a small LED light on the front which for me doesn't really have any added value. On the other hand, there is a "trap door" on the reel which allows you to rinse/wash the metal rod after use and that is really essential. For my part, I wanted to pass the ferret through the drain of the bathtub to avoid having to dismantle everything and I had difficulty passing at first the spiral (a little big), I had to dismantle part to be able to pass it through the hole. Then I ran into a second problem, I had to pass a 90 degree angle and the "energetic" rotation of the metal rod against the plastic damages the pipe... In other words, the machine is very efficient but like any automatic machine it must be used with much more caution than a manual machine. I nevertheless recommend it because the different possibilities allow it to reach places that are difficult to access and above all to avoid external intervention which costs an arm and a leg.

The pipes in my home are constantly blocked. An elbow that is a little too curved prevents the toilet from draining properly. This ferret was able to unblock this one in no time while it took me ages with ultra-harmful products or unsavory suction cups. Getting started is very easy, as proof the instructions only have 4 pages in French. Once the battery is charged and installed, simply lower the handle and press the trigger so that the spring turns and inserts itself into the pipe. By bringing the handle towards you, the spring returns to its housing, evacuating the cork with it. The spring is easy to clean thanks to a trapdoor. A button allows clockwise or counterclockwise rotation. In an unblocked pipe, the ferret allows it to be cleaned. It is nevertheless regrettable that a brush cannot be screwed onto the spring. This ferret is easy to handle although a little heavy... which is also a guarantee of a certain quality of materials.
