I liked the ability to easily sharpen my own chains for my chainsaw. It was fairly easy to install on my wooden bench as I already had a couple of bolts to fit. Setting the angle to file the teeth was not very precise using the scale on the machine but I simply alighed it with the chain teeth & don't suppose it makes a lot of difference. Setting the depth of cut was less easy as I needed to crouch down to see the depth and needed a torch to see. It's best to cut incrementally down on one tooth to get the setting correct then you can go ahead and do the rest. My one concern was the wobbly chain stop which was so loose that I had to tighten it up by slotting a cut washer behind the hinge. If the spindle had been adjustable instead of riveted it would have been easy. Without doing this it is a fiddle to set each tooth in the same position. Because of the imprecise setting of cut angle it may be that each side is sharpened at slightly different angles and this could lead to the saw pulling to one side. Not yet tried it in anger so this may need looking at.

Not as solidly built as I imagined it would be, but does the job all the same. The instructions were over complicated as common sense is enough to set the machine up
