General description

EVERFLEX ONE HOUR CAULK is a fast-drying, flexible decorators filler and sealant that can be overpainted with all paint types or covered with wallpaper. It requires no sanding down and offers excellent slump resistance, making it ideal for various sealing and filling applications.

Areas For Use

Sealing and filling cracks and gaps prior to decorating

Use around skirting boards, ceiling cornices, window and door frames, stair treads and risings, and fixtures adjoining walls

Can fill damaged plaster

Limitations

Not for use with bitumen or asphalt

Do not attempt to abrade when cured

Do not over-paint until a surface skin has formed

For internal use only

Surface Preparation

All surfaces must be clean, dry, and dust-free

Remove all loose or flaking surface coatings, old sealant, and mastic joints before application

Highly porous substrates like new plaster should be primed with a dilution of caulk and water at a ratio of 1:2

Can be applied to slightly damp surfaces

Application

Cut the tip of the cartridge carefully to avoid damaging the thread

Apply the nozzle and cut cleanly at a 45-degree angle with an opening slightly larger than the gap to be sealed

Use a standard sealant gun for application

Maintain even pressure on the gun trigger and keep the gun at a constant angle to the surface

Smooth down within 20 minutes of application using a wet spatula, piece of wood, or wet finger

Remove excess sealant with a sponge and warm water

Other information

Note: this product is flexible

Certain poor quality paints (especially some vinyl matt paints) may have limited movement in the dry film, potentially leading to cracking if movement is excessive
