Description

General description

This fire-rated sealant is designed to resist flames and smoke for up to four hours when used to seal appropriately designed joints. It helps limit fire damage before emergency services arrive. The sealant is an acrylic-based, intumescent emulsion that expands up to 150% of its original size when exposed to high heat, effectively blocking flames and smoke from spreading and reducing oxygen supply to the fire. Additionally, it functions as an excellent acoustic sealant, capable of filling joints up to 50mm wide and reducing noise levels by up to 24dB. The product is easy to apply, becoming tack-free in approximately 15 minutes, and can be painted over effortlessly. Its non-slump formula allows for clean application and removal with basic tools, making it suitable for both professionals and DIY users.
