Extra High Heat Output Chrome Electric Towel Rail 400 x 1200mm Flat Bathroom Radiator Heater + 7 Day Timer/Thermostat

I needed a narrow towel rail and this was the only site that sold the spec I wanted. Delivery was speedy and now it is installed I love it. It heats up really quickly and the timer function is perfect. It has transformed my bathroom.

The heater itself looks the part and seems good quality. But the brackets that it comes with are just chrome plated bits of plastic. So I’m not sure how long these will last in a humid bathroom. The instructions to install the heater are almost inexistant. It first had to be put together (put the heating element inside the heater). Also the thermostat has to be hard wired into the wall, so you will need a back box and tools to cut into tiles. I wish the product description had mentioned that, as it made the installation that much more awkward. The product description states a 400W power but the heating element had a 300W sticker on. Not happy about that because I wanted a heater powerful enough to heat the bathroom, not just the towels. This seems to be a radiator designed to plug into a central heating but was repurposed as an electric heater, with an added on thermostat. The thermostat is not intuitive to program and because it is wired, can’t be set away from the heater, which defeats the object of a thermostat. Only time will tell on its efficacy. So overall, not great, but not bad either.

The towel rail is small but good quality. the controller lets the whole product down I defy anyone to set it up. we are guided to a utube demo where a bumbling man gets his buttons mixed up( see comments left by viewers) There is also a utube demo which claims to show how to set the time but starts and stops within 2 secs. A real shame because the rail itself is excellent.

After shopping around a lot, this towel rail was good value. It arrived within the couple of days as expected and is good quality. The timer unit is neat, the rail holds heat for a while after turning off, all seems good, I'd recommend or buy again, no problem.

Second one of these I’ve bought. Really good heat output and pretty easy to fit. The instructions on the timer module could be a little clearer but overall very happy with them both.
