The Faithfull Countryman Hand Bulb Planter is ideal for bulbs and bedding plants. It has a steel core cutter, with a deeply serrated cutting edge, that helps penetrate packed ground cleanly.
Made from heat-treated (hardened) carbon steel to provide both strength and durability. Powder-coated finish provides improved resistance to rust, scratches, humidity and alkaloids in the soil.
Fitted with a sturdy European Ash handle supplied from FSC® sustainable resources. These are then lacquered for protection against the weather.

Published on 31/10/2019, United KingdomThis is a solid piece of kit, and I like the good-sized foot ledges for pushing the cylinder into the soil, but it is quite heavy. The handles are ideal, being wide with grips on the ends, so I can wiggle the cylinder down easily. The cylinder base rim isn't sharpened, but I don't usually plant bulbs when the soil is hard and dry anyway so it's fine for my purposes. For the money, it's solid and well-made, so good value.

Published on 17/11/2018, United KingdomGood solid tool. My only con was that it was not as sharp as I would have liked. It was quite hard work to cut holes in a grassy area but fine in soil. It is very good value for money. On the whole I would recommend this product.
