Basically it's just a wire basket, but it's very effective and does what it was designed to do: it keeps leaves, dirt, and other foreign objects from entering the drain. It is flexible and easily adapts to the diameter of the existing drain. Since nothing needs to be screwed in, cleaning is also simple: take it out, clean it and put it back in. Simple but effective and clear purchase recommendation!
