General description

This Everbuild General Purpose Silicone White C3 sealant is a multi-purpose acetoxy cure silicone that cures quickly to provide a permanently flexible, high-strength waterproof seal. It features a powerful anti-fungicide to prevent mould growth, making it ideal for various applications around the home.

Do not use in the vicinity of double glazed unit edge sealants

Not suitable for perimeter pointing of PVCu

Not for use on soft metals such as lead and brass

Surface preparation

All surfaces must be clean, dry, and dust-free

Remove all loose or flaking surface coatings, old sealant, and mastic joints before application

Clean glass, metal, and aluminium with a proprietary solvent cleaner for optimum adhesion

Porous surfaces may require priming; test a small area first

Application

Reference recommended joint ratios

If necessary, reduce joint depth using expanding foam or joint backer rod

Ensure joint design permits adhesion to two surfaces only

Cut the tip of the cartridge carefully and apply the nozzle

Apply using a standard sealant gun, maintaining even pressure

Smooth down within 10 minutes of application using a spatula or a piece of wood wetted with soap and water

For improved appearance, use masking tape on both sides of the joint and remove within 5 minutes of application
