This Hammerite Direct to Rust Smooth Finish Aerosol in Silver is a versatile metal paint designed for easy application on various surfaces. It provides a smooth silver finish and offers long-lasting protection against rust and corrosion. The unique formula allows it to be applied directly onto rusty surfaces without the need for a primer or undercoat, saving you time on your projects.

Installation

Shake the aerosol well before use

Apply in a well-ventilated area, maintaining a distance of about 20-30cm from the surface

Spray in even, overlapping passes for a uniform finish

Allow to dry for at least one hour between coats if multiple coats are needed

Usage

Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from loose rust or paint before application

Apply the spray evenly over the surface

Allow the paint to dry thoroughly before handling or exposing to weather

I have no doubt that the paint will be excellent, however, the 3 tins I ordered all arrived dented (significantly). This was due to them as not being protected with bubble wrap or something similar to prevent them from bashing into each other as they were loose in the box apart from a piece of bubble wrap laid over the top of them. By some fluke some serious mess was avoided, thankfully.
