Highfield Gazebo Outdoor Garden BBQ Shelter, Party Tent with Curtains and Apex Canopy - L210 x W210 x H260 cm - Grey

A few weeks ago, I ordered a Highfield Grey Gazebo 2.5m x 2.5m from Mano Mano I am very pleased with the build of the frame and the solidness of the main construction. The assembly instructions are clear, and my son and I, who are both very abled diy'ers, who have built and assembled loads of things over the years, found the instructions easy to understand.However when it came to fitting the gazebo roof canopy things did not go to plan. We did as instructed, and very gently lifted/ manouvered, the canopy over the frame and secured the mid sections first, we then tried to do the corners, two corners went on perfectly, however despite numerous efforts, and trying different corners each time, we could only get 3 corners on comfortably, but each time the last corner was virtually impossible to stretch enough to get over the final end frame. We tried to stretch the roof gently from along the frame but this made no difference. We rechecked all the fittings to ensure everything was accurate and even got step ladders and stood overlooking the top of the roof, to make sure it was totally centralised which it was. With one last stretch we both manouvered the last corner in to position but just as we hooked it over the end of the frame the elastic came away from the roof. Whilst the roof is now on the frame, the elastic is serving no useful purpose, and I am very nervous that when I need to remove the roof either in high winds or for the winter as per the instructions, I am worried I will encounter problems taking it off, due to the broken unattached elastic and potential to tear the roof. Additionally on one area of the roof canopy, the material looks like it has been rubbed or is slightly worn, so I am worried about the waterprrofness in this area and it's strength. I appreciate I need to protect with spray waterproofer, but would expect the roof fabric to have been manuf better, and to be able to withstand assembly. As I stated I am very happy with the build of the frame and the curtains seem reasonable, but am disappointed with the roof. It's not as if this is a cheap product so I would expect the roof to be of an acceptable quality. Tried to get a resolution from manuf but after 1.5 weeks no response or acknowledgement of my complaint.
