I was really looking forward to putting this bug hotel in the corner of my garden, and in the box it seemed fine, but when it came to erecting and placing it I discovered there were a few issues. Firstly the screw fixings for attaching the pole were not straight, so when attached the bug hotel was sat at a significant angle, which meant I needed to push the pole in at an angle in order for it to appear straight. When attempting to straighten / lower the bug hotel into the ground, the bottom of the structure snapped completely (the wood is incredibly lightweight) meaning the product was unusable. Luckily my partner was able to make a sturdy new bottom out of some wood, but the original screw etc would not come out. So I have had to put the bug hotel freestanding on a rock... It looks fine, but was not the quality I expected and was disappointed we had to spend an afternoon bodging it.

Really design I fell in love with it I am going to plant it in the garden It will also be an object of decoration I can't wait to see my little friends the insects do their work there
