The plastic construction weakens the fact of tightening the adapter threads too tightly, the rubber seal is too thick and only allows tightening by a few millimeters which sometimes causes the two parts to separate and allow water to escape from the pool. It would be wise to make shorter threads, thinner rubber and tighter tightening.
