Product information

Description

Cordless top handle jigsaw for timber fabrication, interior fitting and curved cutting applications The Milwaukee M18BJS-0 Top Handle Jigsaw is engineered for professional cutting applications involving timber sheet materials, laminate panels, composite boards and non-ferrous materials. The high-performance motor delivers a variable no-load stroke rate of 0–2,800 strokes per minute with a 25 mm stroke length to support rapid cutting performance and controlled finish quality across straight and curved cuts. The five-stage pendulum action allows operators to optimise cutting aggression according to material density and finish requirements. The patented FIXTEC blade clamp system enables rapid tool-free blade replacement, reducing downtime during repetitive installation work. REDLINK overload protection electronics monitor both tool and battery performance to improve operational durability under sustained site use. The adjustable bevel base allows angle settings from 0° to 45° without additional tools, while the integrated LED work light and dust blower improve cut line visibility during detailed cutting operations. A detachable soft shoe protects finished surfaces when working with laminates, coated boards and decorative materials. The +: - splinter/blade recoil adjustments - the weight makes it a stable tool - the product is solid and looks durable in a professional environment THE - : - no adjustment by dial of the cutting speed but by sensitivity of the trigger. This can pose a problem over time with wear because the trigger will surely relax over time and will no longer be as reliable in the choice of cutting speed. - the weight for amateurs or for working in less conventional positions In summary: Reliable and stable product but lacking

In 1918, Henry Ford, the great car manufacturer, placed an order with a young manufacturer, A.H. Petersen, who was one of the company's tool suppliers. His brief was to develop an electric drill that would be lighter than those already in existence. Petersen took up the challenge and created the Hole-Shooter, capable of the same performance but requiring less effort from the workers. In 1922, he founded the A.H. Petersen Company with his partner, Siebert, who bought the company when it went bankrupt in a fire. He began by repairing tools: this enabled him to train his employees well and to understand the needs of users by being in contact with them. He developed all kinds of power tools that were powerful, durable and lightweight. Soon, the US Navy was adopting Milwaukee power tools. The company also launched new ranges of chipping hammers, belt sanders and jig saws, including the famous SAWZALL... In 2005, the company joined the international Techtronic Industry group, which owns major brands such as AEG, Hoover and Ryobi.
