In fact, these pumps, also called “wavemakers”, create a movement of water in the aquarium which simulates the natural current of the oceans. This movement provides corals and other marine organisms, for example, with the current they need to survive.

Often the pumps are placed opposite each other so that the currents cross to produce a “diffuse” current. Thanks to these mixings created by the pump, unwanted sediments practically no longer settle at the bottom of the aquarium. So that the flow generated can have its full effect, the pump is mounted directly on the aquarium glass using a magnetic support.

The head of the JVP-131 brewing pump can be oriented up, down, right and left, for individual adjustment of the flow direction.

The pump capacity is 6,000 liters per hour with a power consumption of 8 watts.Thanks to the built-in regulating valve, the water flow can also be individually adjusted.
