Installation

Shear nuts are tightened using a standard spanner or socket. The hexagon nut section is fully tightened until the pressure applied exceeds the maximum torque limit, causing the hexagonal part of the nut to break off, leaving a plain tamper-resistant cone shape that is extremely difficult to remove.
