The Makita DC40RA Rapid Charger is designed for XGT 40V Max lithium-ion batteries, providing fast and efficient charging. Very (too?) noisy, even for a workshop, so much so that you'll want to put it in another closed room every time you use it. The ventilation is really strong, much more so than the 18V charger of the same brand. On the other hand, it charges quickly and heats very little. Obviously, you can't have everything at Makita!

Works well, but it has a UK plug with a French adapter, which isn't mentioned on the website. Also, the adapter doesn't stay in place very well and might get stuck in the wall socket!
