Published on 01/11/2022, GermanyI bought the 12v variant in addition to my 18v version in order to be able to cut out smaller jobs such as osb panels or to be able to work better and more easily in narrow places. She fulfills this with flying colors. The thickest wood I cut with it was a 3.5cm beech board, so I think it was almost at its performance limit. But I find that surprisingly strong for a 12v device. The built-in led is also very helpful when darkness falls or, as in my case, an old, poorly lit barn that is being restored. Don't expect miracles from the line of this machine, but I find it perfect if you only use it occasionally and don't want to be cutting hardwood with it all the time. For more you have to spend more and switch to 18v or to 40v. PS She cuts spruce battens measuring 38mmx58mm with ease. For anyone who already owns the 12v system from makita, the dtic saw is the perfect addition.
