The product seems tough and I have confidence roots won't penetrate it. 70cm was very deep as I wanted to stop grass roots encroaching a blueberry bed. Hence we cut it in half so it goes twice the distance. Cut with scissors, worked well. If grow bamboo, I'll use at full depth. I have already ordered more
