General description

Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain in Stone Pine is an innovative and durable wood protection solution that serves as both a base and top coat in one finish. This product is designed for exterior wood surfaces, providing a fast-drying, microporous, and breathable finish that allows the natural wood grain to remain visible. It is extremely resistant to weather, UV rays, water, dirt, algae, mould, mildew, and fungal attacks, while also reducing wood swelling and shrinkage.

Technical specifications

Volume: 2.5 Litre

Coverage: 26 m²/L with one coat

Drying time: First coat: 4-6 hours; Second coat: 12 hours

Moisture content of wood: max. 20%

Application

Recommended tools: Osmo Flat Brush or Microfibre Roller

Method: Apply thinly along the wood grain and spread well

Surface preparation: Ensure wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free

Old stains: Clean thoroughly; remove old paints and lacquers completely

Trial application: Recommended for unfamiliar surfaces

Usage

For best results, apply the first coat to all sides of the wood before installation

For renovation works, one coat is usually sufficient on a clean and dry surface

To extend the life of the coating, apply a final top coat of Osmo UV Protection Oil Extra 420 Clear after thorough drying (not recommended for White 900)

Transparent finishes allow the substrate to shine through, but may deviate from sample colours

Other information

Contains biocides; intended for outdoor use only

Active ingredients help delay or minimize the risk of algae and fungal attacks

Using power washers may decrease coverage; avoid general or multi-purpose cleaners to reduce maintenance frequency

All colour tones can be mixed; available in 186 RAL Classic and 1950 NCS colour tones

I've used this product before, so knew what to expect. It's the best one I have come across for outside wood furniture, in this case an oak table.

A very expensive product, unfortunately not sold in smaller quantities. There is good customer information on the product. It is eay to apply and results in a perfect finish. I hope it performs as well over the comming years.

Brilliant product we have treated a log cabin with this product. We first stained the cabin with an Osmo stain then used the clear for a top coat for extra protection. The product applies very easily and a tin will go along way. We are planning on just using this product every few years to keep the protection up as its so easy to apply.

We love Osmo products and this has been perfect for the new weatherboarding on our house. This was a good price for quite an expensive product but we are confident it will do the job and ensure the wood lasts and looks good for longer.
