General description

Osmo Opaque Gloss Wood Stain in White is an extremely weather and UV resistant finish suitable for both interior and exterior wood frameworks. This stain provides a microporous, breathable finish that does not crack, peel, or flake, effectively reducing wood swelling and shrinkage while hiding the natural wood grain.

Installation

Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free.

Stir the stain well before use and do not thin.

Apply using an Osmo Flat Brush or Microfibre Roller, spreading thinly and evenly along the wood grain.

Allow to dry for approximately 10-12 hours under good ventilation before applying a second coat.

For renovation works, one coat is usually sufficient on a clean and dry surface.

Usage

For additional protection against blue stain, rot, and insects, pre-treat the wood with Osmo WR Base Coat if possible.

Regular cleaning can be done with Osmo Spray-Cleaner.

For intensive cleaning, use Osmo Wood Reviver Power Gel or Osmo Gard Clean.

Recoating is simple; just reapply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when signs of wear become visible.

Other information

Note: The coating may have a slight yellowing effect in dark indoor areas due to its high oil content.

A trial application is recommended for unfamiliar surfaces.

Using power washers may decrease coverage and increase maintenance frequency.
