Description

General description

Osmo Uviwax® UV-Protection is a unique non-yellowing UV protection finish designed for wood surfaces. It is UV-resistant, water and dirt resistant, and suitable for children's toys due to its saliva-resistant and sweatproof properties. The microporous, breathable finish does not crack, peel, or flake, and allows for easy spot repairs without the need for sanding.

Drying time: approx. 3-4 hours under good ventilation

Sanding grit for surface preparation: P360

Installation

Ensure wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free.

Degrease very resinous woods (e.g., Larch) with Osmo Brush Cleaner and Thinner.

Apply Osmo Uviwax® UV-Protection alone to raw wood.

Stir well before use and do not thin.

Apply thinly and evenly along the wood grain using an Osmo Flat Brush or spray coating method.

If necessary, sand the surface with fine sandpaper before applying a second coat.

For renovation works, one coat is usually sufficient.

Usage

Regular cleaning: Dust mopping.

Damp mopping using Osmo Spray-Cleaner.

Occasional maintenance: Intensive cleaning and refreshing using Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner or Osmo Maintenance Oil.

Recoating: Reapply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when signs of wear become visible.

Other information

Trial application is recommended for unfamiliar surfaces.

Allow finish to fully cure before heavy usage.

Using general or multi-purpose cleaners may increase maintenance frequency.
