Description

General description

Osmo Uviwax® UV-Protection is a unique non-yellowing UV protection solution designed for wood surfaces. It offers excellent UV resistance and is water and dirt resistant, making it suitable for children's toys. The microporous, breathable finish ensures that it does not crack, peel, or flake, and it allows for easy spot repairs without the need for sanding.

Moisture content of wood: max. 18%

Coating temperature: at least +10°C

Drying time: approx. 3-4 hours under good ventilation

Sanding grit for surface preparation: P360

Installation

Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free before application.

Degrease very resinous woods (e.g., Larch) with Osmo Brush Cleaner and Thinner.

Apply using an Osmo Flat Brush or a spray coating method, spreading thinly and evenly along the wood grain.

If necessary, sand the wood again with fine sandpaper before applying the second coat.

Allow the finish to fully cure before heavy usage.

Usage

Regular cleaning: Dust mopping and damp mopping using Osmo Spray-Cleaner.

Occasional maintenance: Intensive cleaning and refreshing using Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner or Osmo Maintenance Oil.

Recoating: Reapply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when signs of wear become visible.

Other information

Do not thin or mix with other finishes.

For recoating in a different color, use Osmo Interior Wax.

Wearing a dust mask during sanding is recommended.

Trial application is advised for unfamiliar surfaces.
