Description

General description

Osmo Uviwax® UV-Protection is a unique non-yellowing UV protection solution designed for wood surfaces. It offers excellent UV resistance, is water and dirt resistant, and is saliva-resistant and sweatproof, making it suitable for children's toys. The microporous, breathable finish does not crack, peel, or flake, ensuring long-lasting protection. This product is ready to use and does not require thinning.

Moisture content of wood: max. 18%

Coating temperature: at least +10°C

Drying time: approx. 3-4 hours under good ventilation

Sanding grit for surface preparation: P360

Installation

Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free.

Remove old paints and lacquers completely.

Degrease very resinous woods (e.g., Larch) with Osmo Brush Cleaner and Thinner.

If necessary, sand the wood with fine sandpaper before application.

Apply the product using an Osmo Flat Brush or a spray coating method, ensuring a thin, even layer along the wood grain.

Allow to dry for 3-4 hours before applying a second coat if needed.

Usage

Regular cleaning: Dust mopping and damp mopping with Osmo Spray-Cleaner.

Occasional maintenance: Intensive cleaning with Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner or Osmo Maintenance Oil.

Recoating: Reapply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when signs of wear become visible.

Other information

Do not dilute or mix with other finishes.

For recoating in a different color, use Osmo Interior Wax.

Using general or multi-purpose cleaners may increase maintenance frequency.

Allow the finish to fully cure before heavy usage.
