I found this parasol quite straight forward to put together myself. I also added some parasol fairy lights to make it look that bit more special. The parasol has a smooth glide when moving the handle to move the parasol up and down and it is easy to wind the other handle to open and close it. I would highly recommend this item.

Absolute winner... easy to assemble (with some practical capability)... strong construction, looks amazing and the lady of the house is able to put it up/down and operate the swivel/tilt mechanism unaided... (which benefits all concerned)... would recommend.

I was initially reluctant to pander to my partners desperate need to spend 5x what I would on any given item. However I have to admit, after a lot of research and now having installed the umbrella that it is worth every penny as an investment in our lovely garden. We had no shade before. This is lovely, easy to use, good quality and a nice colour. It does all the turning, tilting, and positioning you could want and I think the only improvement could be if it also came with some lights for evening use. Bear in mind you’ll need to source the base weights separately and fill them with water (they just tuck in v easily on each corner) but this also takes up a fairly large square area on the ground so our ideas of placing this behind a bench didn’t work because the bench legs weren’t far enough apart to straddle the entire base. This would be the case with any of these large umbrellas. The crank system is easy to use. You’ll need to buy a large cover for the umbrella separately too. Easily done. Now the sun just needs to come back out.

I found it easy to construct on my own, although some parts different to diagram. Only needed physical help putting the shade onto the base. Does what it says it will do ...... and looks good too.

Packaging not totally tight. Bolts loose insude could ve lost. Instructions poor. Need much bigger duagrams for parts and actual photos of actual construction phases. Canopy aubject to wobble in fentle breeze. Unkown effect if higher wind. But seems goid string product. Clearly beed to stabaluae base to avoid topple when open. An additional winter cover wrap over would be good addition without resort to polythene bags. I greased nuts befor assembly for future dusmantling if ior when necessary. Pleased with effect fies wgat i wanted it to to go over hot tub or garden table.
