Not enough to impait the performance...it just looks as though the wood has 'dried out' in the sun and it looks untidy. But it does the job well and I now have two!! Don't bother getting a 'plastic' water or sand filled base for this...they are useless and if you saelect a dark colour fabric, expect it to 'bleach out' in the sun over time.
