pH electrode non-rechargeable pH test probe for acquiring acidity or alkalinity sensor
Product information
Description
1. Working Environment
1. Ambient Temperature: 5-40 degrees Celsius
2. Relative Humidity: ≤85%
2. Use, Maintenance, and Precautions
1. Remove the protective cover from the electrode before testing (the solution in the cover is 3MKCl; if crystals seep out, this is normal and will not affect the use of the electrode).
2. Check if the inside of the sensing bulb is completely filled with liquid. If bubbles are found, gently shake the electrode (like a thermometer) to remove the bubbles from the sensing bulb; otherwise, this will affect the accuracy of the test.
Calibration and Testing of the Electrode and pH Meter
1. Connect the pH electrode to the input terminal of the pH instrument and ensure the connection is correct.
2. Perform the calibration according to the instrument's instruction manual and measure the calibration result.
Third, Storage and Maintenance of the Liquid-Filled Composite pH Electrode
1. The electrode uses electrical space. Please clean the electrode with distilled water and place it in a protective bottle. It will be activated by injecting the solution before the next test.
2. If the electrode is not used for a long period, it should be rinsed and any remaining distilled water absorbed.
3. The sensitive glass bulb at the front of the electrode must not come into contact with hard objects; any damage or scratching will render the electrode unusable.
4. After long-term use of the electrode, the slope and response speed of the electrode may decrease. The measuring end of the electrode can be immersed in 4% HF for 3-5 seconds or in a dilute HCl solution for 1-2 minutes, then cleaned with distilled water in chlorine. Soak in a potassium (4M) solution to rejuvenate. If there is a substance in the tested container that easily contaminates the sensitive bubble or blocks the liquid junction, thus passivating the electrode, the response speed will be considerably slower, the slope will be reduced, or the reading will be unstable. Therefore, you must choose the appropriate solution based on the nature of the contaminant. Clean with a suitable solution to renew it.
