Plant Halos - Pack of 9 - Green

Product information

Description

Avoid over or under-watering – Particularly when it comes to tomatoes, giving plants the right amount of water is important. Too much can lead to disease, whilst too little can lead to stunted growth. A plant halo allows water to be slowly released, providing the plant with a perfect amount of moisture and nutrients.

Built to last – These plant halos are manufactured from recycled, UV-stabilised plastic, so they will last for many years to come, even if placed in a polytunnel. They last so well, they come with a five-year guarantee.

Slots for support canes – These cleverly designed plant halos include three cane slots, allowing you to erect a support structure for your plant.

Not just for tomatoes – Although perfect for tomatoes, these plant halos can also be used to better grow other crops, including cucumbers, peppers, and beans.

Available in multiple pack sizes – Pick the perfect amount of plant halos for your gardening needs. You can choose a pack of three, six, nine, or twelve.

Choose between two colours – Pick the perfect colour of halo for your garden: Classic green or tomato red.

Plant halos offer an all-in-one watering and support solution for popular crops such as tomatoes, peppers, and beans. Sold in sets of three, six, nine, and twelve, these plant halos can be used on grow bags, pots (with a diameter of 26cm and above), raised beds, as well on traditional vegetable plots.

These plant halos are manufactured from recycled, UV-stabilised plastic and are guaranteed for five years. So, you know that they’re built to last.

We offer two colours of plant halo: Classic green and tomato red.

How these plant halos work

The central inner pot of the plant halo is for you to plant your crop. This is particularly useful when used in conjunction with grow bags, which can have shallow soil, as it allows a deeper planting zone.

The halos feature a 3.1 Litre outer 'moat' with six 2.8cm watering spikes. These spikes penetrate below the soil’s surface, delivering water directly to the plant's roots. This ensures that water and liquid feed are delivered at a constant but reduced rate, meaning that the plant is better able to absorb moisture and nutrients. This ultimately prevents overwatering, which in itself can lead to disease.

Depending on the plant in question, as well as the weather and soil conditions, it typically takes between three and six hours for the water reservoir to drain fully.

These plant halos also feature a unique cane support system. Three anchor slots surround the inner pot and provide the means to erect a rigid, wind-resistant structure using bamboo canes. A cane grip cap is also included, allowing for the canes to be joined at their peaks. The cane grip cap is simply separated from the main moulding by the user.
