The negative is they are plastic! I had very mixed feelings but decided to just buy 12. However, my sweet peas and hostas may benefit from the added protection. Time will tell. At the moment they have withstood the recent high winds so I haven't had to chase them around the garden. Accepting the plastic problem, I would say that they need to be a tiny bit more rigid; they do tend to distort a little when pushing into tough soil.
