Installation

It is highly recommended to have the window motor installed by a professional mechanic. If you choose to replace the window regulator yourself, follow these steps:

Remove the door panel

Disconnect the power window switch

Disconnect the window motor lead

Remove the window

Remove the regulator’s bolts

Pull the regulator out of the door

When reinstalling, test the regulator by connecting the wiring harness to the power window switch before putting the door panel back. For some regulators, you may need to reset the auto-pinch feature. Manual window regulators require:

Removing the window crank handle

Removing the door panel

Punching or drilling out the regulators or loosening the bolts that attach it to the door and window track

Usage
