Installation

Assemble the hedgehog shelter using the included instructions and assembly materials. Place the shelter in a quiet and safe area, covering it with twigs and leaves during the autumn months to provide a natural camouflage.

Usage

To attract hedgehogs, fill the shelter with nesting material to create a cozy environment. It is recommended to place the habitat in a dry and safe area in early fall and to avoid disturbing it. A helpful tip is to lay a twig in front of the flap; if it is gone, a hedgehog has moved in. Avoid unnecessary feeding, and do not provide fruit, vegetables, or milk, as the hibernation period lasts about 5 months, from November to March.

The wood smells very strongly of fir. Find this uncomfortable and doubt a hedgehog will like it. Outside it will sure to air out and wear off, but I will return the product.
