With the Relaxdays Hedgehog Shelter, you can provide these shy, spiny creatures with a safe home for the winter. This hedgehog house features a cat-proof labyrinth entrance, ensuring optimal protection from predators. The sloped roof, made with weatherproof bitumen roofing felt, allows rainwater to drain away easily, keeping the hedgehog nest dry. Additionally, the raised floor enhances comfort for hibernators by insulating against moisture and cold.

Usage

Set up the shelter in early autumn in a dry, sheltered, shady spot.

Position the entrance facing away from prevailing weather.

Cover the shelter with leaves and brushwood to protect it from other animals.

Leave leaves nearby as natural nesting material.

Do not disturb the hedgehogs once they have moved in.

Tip: Place a twig in front of the entrance; if it's missing, the hedgehog has moved in.

Hibernation lasts about 5 months, from November to March.
