Ronseal Yacht Varnish is a professional high quality solvent-based varnish that provides superior, long lasting protection for exterior wood.
The weatherproofing formula protects the wood from damaging UV rays, it contains a flexible resin that allows the varnish to move with the wood as it expands and contracts, so helping to prevent cracking, peeling and blistering. This unique formula is also highly water repellent to keep your wood drier.
The Ronseal RSLYVG500 has a Gloss finish and is supplied in a re-sealable Tin.
As good as specialist yacht varnish provided you wait a full day between coats and a full week for the final coat to harden. I use wet 320 between coats. It does add a colour despite being called clear. It's fine on okume iroko and cedar (nice golden hue) . It's easy to wet out too and less than 50% of the cost of others.
