Ronseal Yacht Varnish is a professional solvent-based satin varnish for exterior wood. Its weatherproof formula contains a flexible resin that moves with the wood to reduce cracking, peeling and blistering, and offers UV protection and water repellency to keep timber drier. Apply by brush; approx. coverage 16 m2 per litre and touch dry in around 6 hours. Supplied in a re-sealable 250 ml tin.

As good as specialist yacht varnish provided you wait a full day between coats and a full week for the final coat to harden. I use wet 320 between coats. It does add a colour despite being called clear. It's fine on okume iroko and cedar (nice golden hue) . It's easy to wet out too and less than 50% of the cost of others.
