General description

This Ronseal One Coat Damp Seal is designed to permanently block damp stains on walls and ceilings, allowing you to apply it directly onto damp surfaces without causing further damage. Once dry, it can be painted or wallpapered over, making it an ideal solution for interior damp issues.

Installation

Ensure the cause of damp has been fixed before application.

Open doors and windows for ventilation and protect surfaces with dustsheets.

Remove any wallpaper and sand off loose or flaking paint.

If mould is present, treat it with a mould killer before application.

Apply the seal directly onto damp surfaces that are not dripping wet.

Usage

Stir the paint thoroughly before use.

Apply with a roller or brush, ensuring to cover at least 30cm around small damp patches.

After application, allow it to dry for 1-2 hours before it becomes touch dry, and 4 hours before painting or wallpapering over it.

It is recommended to cover the damp seal with paint or wallpaper as it is not designed to be a top coat.

I USED A BRUSH TO PUT IT ON THE WALL. IT GOES ON NICE AND THICK. I AM NOW GOING TO PUT COARSE TEXTURED PAINT ON TOP, SO I BELIEVE MY DAMP SPOT HAS BEEN SORTED
