General description

Ronseal RSLIVSDO750 Interior Varnish Satin Dark Oak is a quick-drying varnish that provides diamond hard protection for your wooden surfaces. It offers superior defense against heat, scratches, and water, ensuring a beautiful, fade-resistant finish for all interior wood. This varnish is available in Satin, Gloss, and Matt finishes.

Touch dry in: 20 minutes

Recoat after: 2 hours

Installation

Ensure the room is warm and well-ventilated.

Wear a mask while sanding to avoid inhaling dust.

Prepare the wood by wiping it down with a cloth and white spirit to remove any wax, grease, dirt, and oil.

Sand the surface with 120 grit sandpaper to smooth out rough patches.

If there is an old coating, sand away any peeling or flaking areas for an even surface.

Let the dust settle and wipe it away with a damp cloth before varnishing.

Usage

Stir the varnish well before use to smooth out lumps.

Test the color on a hidden patch to ensure satisfaction.

Apply an even layer of varnish in the direction of the wood grain.

Allow one hour for the coat to dry.

For complete coverage, apply two to three coats, sanding between coats for a smooth finish.

After the final coat is dry, clean the wood as usual, ensuring no dirt or grit remains that could damage the finish.

If repairs are needed, sand the affected area smooth and reapply a couple of coats.
