General description

The Ronseal Ultra Tough Hardglaze Internal Clear Gloss Varnish is an ultra-tough polyurethane varnish designed to provide a rich, clear, and mellow finish to interior wood surfaces. It is ideal for use over wood dyes and offers exceptional protection against heat, water, scratches, and most household chemicals, making it perfect for high-use wooden items.

Installation

Ensure the room is warm and well-ventilated before starting.

Sand the wood surface and remove any wax, oil, or grease using white spirit and a cloth.

Stir the varnish thoroughly for a smooth consistency.

Apply the varnish in the direction of the wood grain.

Allow the first coat to dry for six hours before applying a second coat.

For the third coat, sand the surface lightly and wipe away dust with a damp cloth before application.

Usage

Suitable for wooden interior furniture and trim, including doors, shelving, skirting boards, cork, hardboard, and chipboard.

For cleaning, use normal cleaning methods while ensuring to remove any dirt or grit that could damage the surface.

If damage occurs, sand the affected area and apply three coats of varnish to restore the finish.

if you are looking for a hard lasting varnish this is the one you need. I sanded down my work top and applied several coats of this varnish, you have to be patient and let the varnish dry before applying a 2nd coat. It is well worth the wait this is the 4th tin I have bought. love it.
