General description
Lithium-ion batteries provide superior performance compared to standard Ni-Cd/Ni-MH cells. They maintain a higher energy density level, generally twice that of a Ni-Cd cell, allowing for more battery power per gram. With a flat discharge curve, these batteries perform better for longer periods and have no memory effect, enabling recovery from deep discharges without reducing overall capacity.
