Good evening. The end of the pole does not fit into the sander, and moreover there is no screw pitch!

I had bought this rod to attach different tool diameters but the input is not adjustable, and none of my tools go into the hole too small; I had to cut the tube to a wider place and insert the tip upside down that I also cut with a hacksaw. By tinkering it's impeccable!
